printing problem

I am having a problem in that after I have loaded the software of an epson
stylus color 480 printer, I constantly get a message stating that the printer
is not connected when I try to print. All the connections are ok. There seems
to be a problem with windows. Can someone please help me

Try disconnecting the Printer and go to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs
and uninstall the Printer Software.
Restart and reinstall the Software. Don't connect the Printer until told
to do so or until Software is completely loaded.
