Printing out emails and showing highlighted areas

Could someone please tell me how I go about making sure that what I have
displayed in the email, is what is printed out?

In particular, an email that has text pasted in from Word and part of that
text has been highlighted with a background of light gray and also, hidden
text (ie, you can see the dots underneath the text).

Because, everytime I print this kind of email out, the shaded area is not
showing and the hidden text doesn't print out either.

Thanks - hope someone can help.

Is this an email you are SENDING, or is it one you have been SENT?

For example, if I send an email to one of my work colleagues that I have
pasted in some content from a Word doc, when she receives it, she first has
to hit reply to be able to view the hidden text that is in it, or, she has to
copy and paste the content into a blank Word document which is just silly and
we know there must be a way around this. The coloured areas as I mentiioned
before are seen on the email but when it is printed out, both the coloured
areas and the hidden text are left off.

Hope that explains it better.
