Printing menu changed

Recently my menu has changed appearance when I to to
change "Properties" in my print setup when trying to print
a MS Office document, Adobe PageMaker, etc. The menu
appears larger than usual but I can't make the menu border
larger to see all of my options, so I can't change my
selection for paper trays or black & white/color. The
fonts make it look like it's in safe mode but I'm not. I
don't know if this means the computer is having trouble
and ready to crash - I can't get it to change by
restarting or anything. Any ideas?
