Printing from a WinXP station

I am having trouble printing from a Winxp workstation that is connecting to a
Windows 2000 server terminal services session. I am connecting through a
remote desktop connection. I previously had a Win2000 pro station in the same
place and the printer worked great. The printer is a HP 1200. I am connecting
to the session, but the redirect or something isn't working. If anyone has
any idea's it would be appreciated.

Check that printer redirection is enabled in your Remote Desktop
client. If it is, check the EventLog on the Terminal Server. It
probably shows several events, stating that the printer cannot be
redirected because there is no driver on the server.

Driver names on the client and the server have to match *exactly*
for redirection to happen. If that's the problem, map the local
printer driver to a native driver on the server by creating a
custom ntprintsubs.inf file. Explained here:
