Printing freezes powerpoint

I upgraded our Office software last year and am now running Professional 2007.
However, whenever I produce a presentation and then try to print it,
Powerpoint freezes and I have to force it to exit - extremely annoying and
meaning I can't work normally.
Can anyone help me ?

first thing I would try is updating the printer driver. Another issue could
be that the printer has not enough memory. Presentations are a way of
"unzipped" when printing - they are much bigger during the printing process
than they are as a file.
