Printer setup via scripting

Hi All,
We are looking to deploy serial printers to a number of computers. Rather
then manually visiting each machine to install the driver and configure the
machine to print to this printer, I would like to be able to script the
installation of the printer and driver install.

We use Altiris desktop management software, so what I am really looking to
do is script a job which can install the printer and driver on the specified
machine.

Could anyone offer some advice on how this would be done?

Cheers,
Luke

How to add printers with no user interaction in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314486/

If you do a search on the net for "printui" or printui.dll you will
get many helpful hits. If you search for printui+xerox you will find
useful hits with script examples from microsot because many Microsoft
examples use xerox as the sample printer in the script. If you do a
search for printui+xerox+script+center or printui.dll xerox script
center you will get a fairly good refined search result with very
helpful script samples.
