Printer problems

Ok, I've had several other posts, but when I reply to
them no one seems to ever read them. So i'm making a new
one. I have a Lexmark 75 Trio to begin with and I've been
trying to install it to my Windows XP operating system.
Let me tell you how it does not work! I have tried
everything. My scanner and copier work, it's just the
actual printer that will not. I contine to get errors and
more errors. I have uninstalled it several times and
tried to clean up my drivers from the useful website of
BSanders. If anyone has any more ideas of what I could
do. The error message that I continue to get once I've
installed my software, even after I DL new printer
drivers from the Lexmark Website is ''The Lexmark x74-75
is not installed, please reinstall your printer driver."
If anyone has anymore suggestions, besides going to that
one website I would appreciate it. I'm beginning to
wonder if I just have to reformat my entire hardrive to
be able to add a freaking printer. Thank you.

You say you've downloaded the software from Lexmark. But nowhere in any
posting do you say you've actually INSTALLED it.

When you say you installed the software, does that mean you INSTALLED the
printer driver you downloaded from the web or do you mean you installed the
software that came with your printer????????

downloading a driver from the web does not mean that it is installed. You
have to install it once it is downloaded.
