Printer problem

Hello

I have a HP deskjet 5650 printer which has worked fine for many years.
Recently, for reasons I do not understand, after successfully printing a
document it continues to 'flash' the power light suggesting that it is still
receiving data from the pc. If I open the printer status window it says the
file is still printing, and sometimes shows it printing pages 3/1 , ie it is
printing page 3 of a single page doc. !

I have tried uninstalling & re-installing the drivers - no change

Could this be due to my recent upgrade to service pack 2 (XP home)

I am trying to check the HP site for new drivers

Any other ideas ?

(My pc is a compaq presario s4200uk)

Thanks

KK

Open the printer status window (double click on printer icon near clock).
Right click the phantom print job and select 'Cancel'.
The print job should delete after a few seconds and the printer cache should
clear itself.
If that doesn't work, email HP support. I have found them very helpful in
the past.
Good luck!
