Printer problem in Vista

I

I have a Brother HL1230 laser printer connected to a pc in my home network
with XP home. I also have a desktop in an other room using Vista Home
Premium which is connected to the network wireless. I installed the network
printer from my Vista-pc and the installation went well and I got a perfect
test page on the printer. But after this I only get messed up printouts.
Pictures comes out fine, but all the text comes as squares. This happens in
both MS Word and Internet Explorer.

I have the latest driver for my printer (issued in 2002 !).

Can anyone help me fix this?

Try removing the printer [via Control Panel > Printers > (right-click
printer > delete), and then re-installing it, making sure the correct
drivers are installed
