printer icons missing

My printers work, however there are no icons.
I cannot add a printer.
Microsoft knowledge Base Article - 271248....this does not
work as there are only the 3 .dll files in the Winnt root.

Sorry for the "me too" post but I just had this happen today. The KB article
desribes the problem exactly but the solution they offer does nothing.
Please reply here if you have any luck, been trying to beat this one for a
couple of hours now. Thanks.
