Printer error add printer wizard

When I go to add a printer using the add printer wizard, I initially get a
message saying the spooler service is not running. When I try to start the
service, I get a message saying the file is missing. How do I go about
restoring the printer spooler files. I previously had the printer up and
running.

If a System Restore to the point where the spooler was working correctly
does not bring back your missing Spooler, then a Repair Installation is
required.
