Printer Deployment

I've noticed that there is a "Deployed Printer" option under the Group
Policy Object Editior under Windows Vista.

Is this function used for Vista only or Windows 2000/XP also?

On the back end, does it require Windows 2003 R2 or will Windows 2000 server
suffice?

It does somehow work with Windows 2000 and XP, but you have to call
printerconnections.exe to map the printers.

You'll need at least one R2 DC (afaik).
