Print Icon Won't Go Away

In my notification area I have the printer icon, but when I click on it
there are no print jobs at all. The icon won't go away.

It happened after I had some trouble with print jobs getting stuck and not
printing, but also refusing to be deleted. I finally cleared out the two
problematic print jobs after stopping and starting the Print service a
couple times. But now that icon won't go away!

How can I make the print icon go away?

Have you tried right click the print tray icon and select "Refresh"?
