Hi,

I want to create an extended partition on my Windows 2003 server. The
extended partition will be storing critical data, my question is if the
primary partition becomes corrupt will i loose the data on the extended
partition?

Thanks for you help

No. But if the problem that causes the primary partition to become corupt
is disk failure, you lose all partitions on that physical disk. So, if the
data is that critical, add backups to other physical drives.

Yeah i understand that if we have a drive failure then it would lose
the data then but with the drives on a raid hopefully we can compensate
for that scenario, i just didnt want a corruption on the primary
partition and that to destroy the extended partition then replicate to
the other drives in the raid.

Thanks for your help
