Previous Slide Command in Presenter View

I am using a Keyspan remote to control my laptop and projector with
powerpoint in presenter mode. The remote relies on the up and down keys to
advance the slides and to go back. For some reason the up key advances the
slide rather than goes back. This happens only in presenter mode.

I am running Windows XP Pro with PowerPoint Professional 2003.

Oops, answered the wrong question here should have been the one above,
