Previous installation created pending file operation

I am having problem when trying to install Microsoft SQL Server 2000
Personal Edition. When I start the installation I get the message below: "A
previous installation created pending file operation on the installation
machine. You must restart the computer before running setup" Even if I
restart the machine the message keep coming up, and I am not able to install
the SQL server.



Any suggestions on how to solve this problem?



(Using the same CD on another computer works just fine)
