Preview of .jpg files stopped working

Office 2007 - I can preview most any other file but jpeg's. It used to work.
I saw the posts about Google desktop issues but I don't have it installed. I
removed Google earth, the only google app I have loaded but that did nothing.

When I select an image I get the message: This file cannot be previewed
because there is no previewer installed for it.

I've checked the previewer setttings ; updated to the latest service pack ;
ran the diagnostics tool.

I can't think of what I could have done or changed. Maybe upgrading to NERO
8. But then I did that on my home PC and jpg preview works.

Hi Otto,

it is indeed very likely that Nero 8 is causing this. Make sure the default
program to open jpg files is Windows Photo Gallery and not Nero PhotoSnap
Viewer (or another program). The Outlook jpg previewer doesn't work with all
programs. The same happened to me and resetting the default program fixed it.
