"Preview" & "Design" views don't look like its supposed to.

I'm brand new to Frontpage 2003. I hit "view" and "source" in explorer for a page on my website in order to use it as a template for other pages. I cut and pasted the code into Frontpage 2003 as a "blank page". I removed the existing Frontpage code in the "blank page" first too. When I look at the page in the "preview" or "design" mode it just shows a couple little tiny image boxes in the upper right of the page. In other words, it doesn't look anything at all like it should. I'm sure this is a simple thing here but I'm completely stumped. Any help will be greatly appreciated please! Thank you.

A simpler way, maybe not the correct way, is to open your web in folder
view, right click the original page, click copy, click paste, and it will
create a file named copyofpagename.htm which you can then rename to your new
page.

I'm assuming I'm opening the page in "folder view" with Frontpage 2003, right? Can you please tell me where that function is located? I looked and don't see it anywhere.

Thank you for your input here. I really appreciate it

Correct, in folder view. Right click the file, click copy, right click in a
blank area of the folder and click paste.
Another and even easier way: open the original page, Click File > Save as.
and give it a new file name and title.
Your original will still be there.
