Pressing CTL,ALT,Del to log on

I have been using Win2K pro for several years. Today when
I returned to my home computer and did the Ctl, Alt, Del
to access the log on screen The computer froze up. No log
on screen.
I first thought I had a key board problem so I changed the
key board. No luck. After I talked to my tech at work, I
attempted to do a repair re-install of win2kpro. No luck.
I have never had this problem and will accept any help.

Thanks,
Bob

What about if you use F8 at boot up? Sorry if you tried this, but maybe
that or Last Known Good Configuration might get you in?

How is the drive formatted? FAT/FAT32 or NTFS? It sounds a little extreme,
but maybe if you try installing Windows 2000 or another OS to another
location, you might be able to get in.

I myself had a problem with Windows 2000 freezing up, but it happened after
I logged in. However, the hard drive was wearing out in that case. I'm
going to try and work on a RMA when I get time for that drive.

What were the last few installs you did? Also, do you have any remote
control software installed, or anything that hooks/replaces the GINA?
