PPTP vpn- can't connect to printer.

We've successfully set up dozens of PPTP vpn connections to an nt4.0
terminal server box and can connect to printers on the client (remote) box.
It fails on xp- in the exact same way on every box we've tried.

Our process:
In win95/98 we will set up a printer on a box and share it. Then we
establish a vpn connection, and on the nt4.0 terminal server box, add
network printer pointing to \\ipaddress\printername. This has never failed
us (except when there were service pack issues with 98's dialup networking,
another story). With xp, we establish the vpn, we can even see and browse
the \\ipaddress\printername, but when we try to 'install' or physically add
the printer to the nt4.0 box, we get a 'Can't connect to printer' message.
We have double and triple checked to make sure that the built in firewall
for xp is turned off. We've tried this on several xp boxes and have seen
the EXACT same result, so at this time, my feeling is that this is an issue
with xp. Any tips would be appreciated.

All remote box os's are XP-Pro, service pack 1.

Check your network protocols.. Windows XP does not support NetBEUI
over Remote Access connections (VPN's count as RAS connections), which
NT 4 used by default...
