Hello,

How can I clear the list of recently used templates in Powerpoint
2003?
I'm not talking about recently opened files at the bottom of the File
menu.
I'm talking about the "new presentation" task pane, with 3 headers:
New, Templates, Recently used templates.
I'm somehow hoping this can be done in a "normal" way, without hacking
in the registry.

Tnx,

Amedee

Amedee,
I'm afraid you will have to go into the registry.
HKEY_Current_user - software - microsoft - office - 11.0 - PowerPoint -
Recent Template list and clear it there.

If you decide to follow Lucs excellent advice then make sure Powerpoint is
closed when you delete the entries otherwise it may just reinstate them.

Ok, thank you. I was afraid it would be that. Oh well, I'll
survive. :)

John: yes I know, but thank you for the reminder anyway
