ppt. plays audio but no video, works in wm when decelerated.

I downloaded a video and only heard audio but saw no visual. I was able to
correct this problem by decreasing the video acceleration. I need this same
video to play in a powerpoint presentation, but when I import it I experience
the same problem (audio but no video). Is there a way to correct this? I
believe Powerpoint is attempting to play my video with default settings,
rather than with the decreased acceleration.
