PPT Live is over

Hi,

Well, I am at New Orleans airport and PowerPoint Live is over. Miss Lucy is
probably on the airport shuttle somewhere and the others are either heading
home or at the swamp tour.

As the conference is the current, forefront event on PowerPoint, I had an
absolute ball and want to thank all of those I met. It was great to see the
other presenters, and as an American Idol "Simon" impersonator, please
forgive me for the acid comments I was obliged to give out ;-)

Food was excellent, tracks informative and since I haven't adjusted to the
local time zone yet, I hope to get a good sleep (at night) when I get home.
We have a great community of PowerPoint folks! The true talent of the event
was probably Todd Dunn playing jazz!

Miss Lucy is still in transit :-( 28 hours and counting.... Oh great, they've
just announced a half hour delay to my flight. Ho hum.

Lucy (at least I think that's my name, I can't really be sure at this stage)

Hi,

Well I got to the meeting point at LA and no Lucy. Then again, I got to
Sydney and no luggage!

I know honey I'm sorry! But the Melbourne & Sydney flights left from
different terminals. Almost as logical as Office 2007 ;-)

Boo to no luggage. I missed my Adelaide connection and they told me I had to
wait 8 hours for an available seat. I burst into tears (big, gulppy, messy
tears) and they got me on the next flight instead. Sometimes it pays to be a
girl.

Lucy
Home safe and sound at last. Only took 32 hours.

OMG, that's so funny. I mean, it's not, but, oh, you know what I mean....

It honestly wasn't calculated (crying in public - not really my style) and
shocked me as much as the poor woman serving me. But it worked :)

I do it all the time. You'd be surprised at the results you get ;-o))

After that much travel time - I'd be crying too!

I just want to say what a pleasure it was meeting you, Lucy! I hope you'll
be up for it again next year in San Diego.

Glen: so glad you could make it this year. It was great to catch up with you
again.

To all of the MVPs who made the conference: thanks for a great time and
thanks again for your help. As always: spending time with all of you is the
highlight of the conference for me!

cheers,

Julie

I dunno, if I were behind the desk, a blubbering Glen would scare me more.

Hey Girl,

Keep that in mind when you go to court for a really ugly speeding ticket,
has saved me twice.

If you'd like you can always blame it on the undo Southern U.S. influence
(Miss Lucy). It's a total Scarlet thing to do, and we have absolutely no
shame about it.

Hi Julie

It was great to meet you too (you're my design idol!) and, yes, I will see
you next year. I'm going to bring hubby along to San Diego too - well if he
amends how he answers interview questions (see 'what 3 things would you take
to a desert island' towards the bottom:

I can recall two distinct times in my life when I -- without notice -- moved
from a seemingly strong business woman to bubbling fool. Of course I was
quite embarrassed, but the results were amazing...

Sometimes I wish I could fake it.

M

Michael Koerner

AFAIK, faking it works pretty well on all men Tax man included ;-o))

Hmmm, I wonder if it will work on the tax man...
