PPt 2007: Zoom-in problem while editing

When I am zoomed in to do some detail work, every time I hit "Enter" to apply
some change I've made in a series of changes to be made, the zoomed-in view
resets to the center of the slide frame. It is tiresome and time-consuming
to either zoom back out, select the target element, and then zoom back in to
continue editing, or use the scroll bars to search for the spot where I was.
Is this a bug or am I missing something?
