PP VBA automation question

Hi,
I'm working with an existing PP application and was wondering if anybody
doing any VBA work knows whether the Access datbase engine is available to PP
in version of Office that DO NOT include Access? Thanks!

No, if you want Access it has to be installed.

If you want to pull in data from an Access database, I don't think you need
Access installed.

Have a look here for one example that *might* work for you (I'm by no means a
database wizard; trust your own senses, not mine <g>):

If you want to *automate* Access itself, then yes, it'd have to be there.

Thanks. Ironically, I was just there looking for something else. I was
pretty sure I could READ access data, since you can read an mdb file with
VB, frontpage, etc, even if you don't have access.
