Windows XP PowerToys Virtual Desktop Manager

Just installed PowerToys Virtual Desktop Manager and have a very basic query please. First and only step I've taken so far is to change the desktop background for each of the 4 views. But as soon as I switch between views, the default background returns! What have I missed please?

Sorted a few minutes later. It seems for some reason that the normal method of assigning desktop properties doesn't 'stick'. But r-clicking the MSVDM icon and using 'Configure Desktop Images' works.
