Powerpoint Viewer 2007 Insecure?

Jeff

Hi
I have Office 2007 installed in W 7 64 bit.
When I run Secunia, it tells me that

"Microsoft Office PowerPoint Viewer 2007
This installation of Microsoft Office PowerPoint Viewer 2007 is insecure
and potentially exposes your system to security threats!"

I've gone to add/Remove apps and find no way to selectively remove this
viewer.

Questions:
a) Is this a needed part of Office 2007?
b) If not, how do I get rid of it?

Thanks. Jeff

The Viewer should be listed under Microsoft Office PowerPoint Viewer 2007 in
the Windows Control Panel | Programs and Features list. You can uninstall it
from there.

I'd say it's entirely possible that the Viewer isn't completely secure, but
there are a couple of service packs for it that probably make it more
secure.

Each of these pages has links to info that explains what all the service
packs include. Viewer SP2 includes all the cumulative updates, so you should
be able to just install it.
