PowerPoint upgrade install problems

Trying to install PowerPoint 2002 upgrade on PC running
WinXP with OfficeXP SBE. I receive error 1608 every
time: "Setup was unable to locate a qualifying product"
and installation ends.

I have un/re-installed OfficeXP SBE twice, using typical
and custom install options, but it didn't help.

Please help!

I beg to differ...the side panel of the PowerPoint box
clearly states that Small Business is an eligible Office
Suite for the upgrade. Any other ideas?

Yes, it is eligible as an upgrade for Office, but not for products it
doesn't include. In other words, since it doesn't include PowerPoint, you
can't use it as a qualifying product for upgrading PowerPoint.
