Powerpoint to DVD

Progress City

I want a program that will take a Powerpoint presentation and burn it
to DVD, where each slide is converted into a DVD menu.

I've seen a few that will create video out of presentations, but I
specifically want something that will create a series of linked menus.

Does such a thing exist?

PowerPoint alone can't do this. You will need a program like Camtasia
Studio, www.techsmith.de, to convert your presentation into a film. Then use
the DVD burning software which usually comes with your computer, to create a
DVD with a menu.

Best regards,

Camtassia, and other similar programs will creave an AVI or MPEG file
out of my slides.

I want a program that will create standard DVD menus out of the
slides. Each slide becomes a MENU.

My DVD's would have absolutely NO video, just a series of linked
MENUS.

Is this possible?

Take a look at almost any DVD. The menus are incredible. They have
buttons, background sound, even limited animation. They should be
capable of doing just about anything that Powerpoint can do.

You need to buy a DVD creation software and then you can save your slides as
images and use these.

SonicMyDVD is inexpensive and will do what you want.

Camtasia and the like are screen capture tools. In that way, you can
not create slide menu.
You can use the hyperlink feature in PowerPoint to create menu for
every slide.
Then use PPT2DVD to convert your powerpoint to DVD with the hyperlinks
retained.
PPT2DVD enables you to use every slide as menu for other slides for it
can retain the original link struture in PowerPoint.

1. Add hyperlinks to other slides in an oject in the current slide.
That means you can jump to any other slide from current slide.
2. Open PPT2DVD, import your PowerPoint file, at the fourth step "
Play Mode" , there is "Content Menu Settings"
This feature enables you to "View the slides in list view" in the
video movies.
You can use a remote control to advace to other slides from the
corrent slide. This is the Slide Menu you call. Every slide can be
used as a slide.

Notice: You can add hyperlinks in a powerpoint template to save a lot
of time. PPT2DVD can also retain the hyperlinks in a template.
