PowerPoint suddenly extremely slow

J

Jim

Started to work on a PPT for class next year and suddenly anything I do is
slow. Typing, playing slides, clicking on buttons, etc. Everything. None of
the other Office Products are doing this. I can type a sentence and it will
take 20 seconds to appear. I have the latest updates and have restarted my
laptop a dozen times. This is a new problem as PPT has been working well. Any
suggestions?

Thanks, I had went through most of the items on list from the PPT website.
When I went to addins there was only 1 active. I clicked on it, nothing
happened. I messed around in there for few minutes not really accomplishing
anything, but when I went back to PPT everything is working fine. Ghosties I
suspect. Anyway it's working now and I have good PPT rescource. Thanks again.

Any chance you were not on the network when PPT got the slows? I ask,
because PPT 2007 relies heavily on printer drivers, and if the drivers are
on the network, but you aren't....

Which version of PPT are you using?
