PowerPoint slide show

My Powerpoint presentation will only display the slide number and not the
slide, unless I click on the slide number.

Tell us a bit more: Which version of PowerPoint are you using? Did you
install the available Service Packs for that version? Are there any
animations in your slide or the slide master?
