Powerpoint found an error it can't correct when trying to change f

I am running Office 97 with Win XP SP2. Recently I can't change fonts, or
font sizes. When I select the type of font I receive the error message.
"Powerpoint found an error it can't correct. You should save the
Presentations, exit, and then restart Powerpoint." I've reloaded office, and
get the same error message. I am running from an admin acount, however I do
have users without admin rights who use Office. Please help, as I can not
afford to update Office, nor can I get my Win95 system to work. So I'm stuck
with WinXP and Office97. Thanks.

PS everything worked fine when I built the system two years ago, WinXP and
Office97. It must be something recent.

Echo; Thanks. I had forgotten that I had other issues solved by installing
a local printer that I don't use... I'll try it tonight, but suspsect that
this will fix this error. Thanks again.

Cool. If it doesn't do the trick, holler back.
