PowerPoint Can't Read

About two weeks ago I created a game. It has about 50 slides (half are
blanks). There are about 25 triggers on 18 of the slides, each trigger has 3
actions. When I finished the game and saved it all was fine. When I tried
to reopen it the following day I received the pop-up "PowerPoint can't read,
and the path to the file. The path is still valid and the extension is .PPT.
I though it was just a croupted file. I recreated the game today and after
closing and attempting to reopen got the same PowerPoint can't read message.
What an I doing wrong?
