In a nutshell...you can't...as far as removing your name from the comment
goes all you have to do is open your options dialog box. (If using office
97-2003) Choose tools to options and click the general tab. If you are using
office 07 select the office button in the upper left corner and choose
PowerPoint options.

On the Popular Page: You should see the username and Initials.

Good Luck!

Sorry....the only options they have for comments is within the print dialog
box. Comments are only available when using the PowerPoint normal view.

Patricia's right about off-the-shelf PPT, but with an inexpensive add-in you
can create comments that allow you to edit out the user name and that can
appear in Slide Show view if you wish. They'll also be visible to people who
use PPT 2000 and previous, which PPT 2002/2003's comments are not.

The basic starter set is free; the upgrade adds the comment tools and other
useful bits.

Whoops. I mentioned our commercial add-in but forgot to include this free
solution:

Convert PowerPoint 2002/2003 comments into PowerPoint 2000 comments
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00462.htm

It explains how you can use VBA to roll your own conversion from 2003 comments
to older 2000-style ones (which DO show in Slide Show view if Markup is set to
view).
