In PowerPoint 2007 presenter view can particular windows (e.g., notes, next
slide, etc.) be resized or made to disappear?

I want to enlarge the notes view and keep the current slide, but hide or
minimize the thumbnails and next slide windows. Do you know if that can be
done? If it can be done, can it be made the default?

Yes, as explained in the article on that link, you can drag the borders to
resize the various panes.

I don't think it can be made the default (there's not a button or setting
for that, anyway), but I don't know -- maybe it sticks from time to time
when you open presenter view. Have you tried it?
