powerpoint 2007 - picture shape

I was able to apply a new shape to a picture. Now when I have it as a
picture, it saves the shape but it saves inside a square frame. So I have
my picture in a diamond shape but it is inside a white frame.

How do I get rid of or save only shape so I see only diamond shape picture
and not the whole square?

Can't seem to replicate your problem here. I have inserted an image and
changed it to a diamond shape. This gives me a diamond image. The image will
be inside an invisible frame.

Or are you saying that when you right click to save the image, it gives you
a white frame? If so, right click on the image, select Save as picture.
Under Save as type, click on the dropdown and select PNG Portable Network
Graphics Format (*.png). Click save and see if it works this time round.
