I use Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 to set the password for my PowerPoint
files. My password protected PowerPoint files which created by using
PowerPoint 2003 cannot be opened by the earlier version of Microsoft
PowerPoint. Why?

Earlier version of PowerPoint does not support password protection. You will
not be able to open the presentation. Try downloading PowerPoint Viewer 2003
on computers with earlier version of PowerPoint.
