powermax cant detect device but maxblast can?

Hi group,

I recently wanted to test my harddrives so I got the program powermax
and maxblast. I found out later you can't test with maxblast but with
the program Powermax it cant detect my hard drives, it keeps saying
detecting hard drive please wait (can take up too 1 minute) or
sometihng like that. I waited 15 min and it still didn't detect them.

Maxblast detected both of them very fast though but as far as I know
you can't test with it , just set up etc.

Anyone know why it couldn't detect my hard drives? I think its because
my primary master is a Hitachi hard disk and the other hard disk is
from Hitachi. I only recently build in the second hard disk I can just
use it in windows but would like to be able to test it, any
suggestions? These are my hard disks.

1. Maxtor: 6y120m0
2. Hitachi: HDS722516vlat80

Powermax can be a bit quirky version to version, they
dont appear to actually debug the damned thing
properly with a new version. Try an older version.

Shouldnt be that.

You should be able to boot the Ultimate Boot CD and run
powermax from that with just the maxtor connected to test it.
