Hi all,

PowerAD 1.4 has been released yesterday. It is a free Open Source management
console for Active Directory, with advanced possibilities that do not exist
on the mmc "Active Directory Users and Computers" provided by Microsoft.

This software is developped with C#, the source code is avalaible on the the
website.

The 1.4 release brings a new powerfull tool : PowerPark, a computer park
management tool using Windows's WMI.

With PowerPark you can :
-get a complete inventory of all the computers on your network (speed,
memory, name, serial number) and export it in CSV format (Excel)
-stop, start, and pause services on a remote computer
-get a list of all the processes running on a remote computer (and kill
them or create new ones)

New functionnalities since PowerAD 1.31 :
-builtin "netsend" : you can send messages to your users using the
"netsend" function with a simple click
-you can see who is logged on all the computers in an Organisationnal Unit

And still :
-you can change the properties of many users at once
-you can reinit the password of many users at once
-"Status" option in the users properties, allowing you to see the last
connection date, last time password changed, etc...
-manage a domain in which you're not trusted
-export all the properties you want in text files ("Member of" list,
etc...)
-import and export users easily with the same format as "addusers.exe"
-etc...

This software was created to build community around an Open Source server
application on a Microsoft platform developped in C#, so if you want to be a
part of it, we are recruiting !
