Power supply

What power supply is recommended for the following system:

Gigabyte GA-8Ik1100 Mother board
Intel P4 2.6 Ghz HT
1 CDRW/DVD combo
1 SATA HDD
512 Mb RAM
Geforce FX 5200 graphics card

Is a 300W power supply enough? or is 350W+ recommended?
Also, what would the symptoms of a system with a power
supply that is too weak be?

Thanks

A 300 Watt Power Supply will suffice for that system, though I would
suggest at least a 350 if not a 420 Watt Power supply. Three companies
I would recommend looking at are Antec, Enermax, and Vantec. These
three make excellent power supplies. Oh, and that system sounds sweet
for a little overclocking, so make sure to use google and do some
research on reviews of Power Supplies you are looking at. Plan on
spending around $40 to $60 for a good power supply. The most crucial
thing you want to check is how high the 3.3 volt rail is out of the box ;)

If you are planning to add a new Geforce 6800 video card later, I would
consider a 450 watt power supply as the starting level.
