PROBLEM REPORT

Powerpoint version now in use:2003 (11.8110.8107) SP2

Version the file was created in or opened in since, if any:

Windows version:XP

Other hardware involved (printer, etc):

Description of problem:

Presentation will run for 1/2 to 4 hours before hanging up with a
Microspt Office Powerpoint error

AppName: powerpnt.exe AppVer: 11.0.8110.0 AppStamp: 4519c2a0
ModName: mso.dll ModVer: 11.0.8107.0 ModStamp: 4500cb64
fDebug: 0 Offset:0037bd08

When I do this:

One PPT is running on 2 screens and another on 2 other screens. There are 5
screens on the system one for the PC desktop.

Here's what happens (include text of any error messages that appear):
see above

or

Here's what I expect to happen, but it doesn't: Presentaion should continue
to run over and over.

Here's what I've already tried to solve the problem:

Updated Windows and Office changed settings as described in your PPTools "Do
this before using powerPoint
seriously" document.

PowerPoint seems unable to keep its footing while running slide shows non-stop
for long periods of time, on *some* systems. As far as I know, nobody's been
able to track down why this happens to some and not others.

But to fill in details here, how are you managing to get several shows to run
at once on different screens?

Steve,

We are using a Matrox QID LP PCI quad video card and powershow to split the
shows.

OK, I figured it might be PowerShow; it's the only way to play multiple shows at
once, at least that I know of. And that's a good thing ... its author, Chirag
Dalal, is a PPT MVP and a good guy. Try contacting him to see if he knows of any
circumstances that might cause this.

Thanks, how do I get in touch with Chirag? I haven't been able find any
support info on the officeone site.

Steve,

I've not heard anything from Chirag, the error hasn't gone away, any other
