I have tried unsucessfully to link music into a presentation. I would like to
attach the file to the folder thge presentation is in. All of my music is in
an Itunes folder. I have gone through neccessary steps: Select slide, click
insert sound, from file and when I click selected song it does not activate
the ok button. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks

Discovery? I have continued on with this problem and I discovered that my
Itune files have been saved as MPEG-4 Audio File? Could this be the problem?
Do I need to convert these files or is there some other procedure I should be
doing? The music files that I am trying to use in a presentation have been
copied into Itunes off a disc. If I need to convert these to MP3 what is the
procedure. Thanks for any help.

iTunes files are m4p or mp4 format, I forget which -- and they also have DRM
(digital rights management) attached or embedded or whatever. The upshot of
it is you can't use them in PPT.

To convert iTunes files, you have to rip them to CD and then rip them *from*
CD back to your harddrive and save them as MP3 or the like. iTunes Help
files should explain how to rip them to CD. I like Audiograbber for ripping
from CD. Just be aware of copyright issues with these tunes.

This is impossible to add music file to your presentation directly if
you downloading music from the Apple iTunes service. If you have
downloaded music from Apple istore you will first need to convert them
to mp3 format.

You will also need to make sure that you have all of the copyright
permissions and performing rights clearances to be able to store the
music in your presentation.
Now it times to convert your ITunes protected files m4p to mp3 files.
You can find some solutions from here, please check it out below:
