Power management problems

I have an interesting problem. I have my computer set to start the
screensaver after 10 minutes, then shut off the monitor after 20 minutes. The
hard drives are shut down after 1 hour.

My problem is that although after 10 minutes the screensaver starts, after
20 minutes, instead of shutting off the monitor, the screensaver shuts off
and the desktop is visible.

I have tried readjusting the settings, restarting and trying different
screensavers, but no dice.

All I want is to have my monitor shut down as its supposed to. If any more
info is required, please contact me.

Any help will be appreciated.

Some software running at this time may prevent Windows from entering
