Potential ATI 9600 Pro Gone Bad?

Hello,

I built a new system in November 2003, with ASUS A7N Deluxe mobo, 1 gb ram,
2700+ AMD and 9600 pro (128 mb) vid card. Bought everything from
Newegg.com. I have been running for nearly 5 months, then tonite all of a
sudden while playing a video game I started pixelating and then withing 10
seconds, the screen was all pixelated up. So I thought that I would reboot
and that it was just the game, but when i rebooted the same thing was
happening in just windows. Now when I boot up it's just a matter of time
before it happens again. I unloaded the 3.7 cat drivers that i was using
and loaded the 4.3, most recent ones. No difference.

So my question is, anyone ever have this happen? If I need to call this one
in, has anyone had any luck with the warranty service with ATI? Since I
bought through newegg.com, do I call them or try to go to ATI? This is a
true ATI card, not just the chipset.

thanks

To follow up on this, i have been getting an error that says "VPU Recover:
has reset your graphics accelerator as it was no longer responding to
graphic driver commands. Please tell ATI technologies about this."

I also will occassionally get an error that says "ATTENTION - 18k/0Hz
Frequency is out of range.

Any ideas?
