Hi,
XP Pro SP2.
This is what was found after a search for wgatray.exe:
This folder:
C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\[a bunch of numbers]
contains wgatray.exe and wgalogon.dll files
This folder:
C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\[another bunch of numbers]
contains wgatray.exe and wgalogon.dll files
I also noticed that
This folder:
C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\[a bunch of numbers]\update
contains wganotify.cat (catalog) and wgacustom.dll files
When I run "RemoveWGA.exe" (v1.1 from http://www.firewallleaktester.com),
This message is displayed:
"Microsoft WGA Notification Tool is not currently active on your system."
That's good; the Notification Tool was never installed on this machine. Is
there a way to remove from the computer ALL references to WGA?
Thanks,
Cheryl
