Possible problem with MS Anti-Spyware

For a few days now I have been having these weird problems
with Windows Explorer. Right-Click on a file and it takes
forever (Sometimes a minute) for the menu to arrive.
Double click on any file and it take forever for the
associated program to start. Redrawing hidden toolbar
takes forever. After playing with my settings one day to
try to figure this out it ended up being MS anti-spyware
software that was causing the problem. I am assuming that
Microsoft receintly put out a new executable update? Well,
if so, it doesn't work. Otherwise I have no clue why all
of a suddon Anti-Spyware is causing problems. But as for
now it is staying disabled. I will keep an eye on these
forums to see if anyone else is having the same problems
and if there are any resolutions.

Other software running:

Apache.exe (for Nvidia Nforce 3 Ultra Security manager)
AVG 7.0
ATI control panel
Dell Scanner/Printer driver
MSN Messenger 6.2

I've seen momentary problems on specific machines, but nothing systematic.
You might consider reinstalling, just to see whether the problem comes back.
Some folks have reported performance issues that seem to be related to a
specific install, and go away on a reinstall.

i instaleld and ran the MS Anti-Spyware software and my
CDRW and DVDR no longer work. if i browse My Computer,
they do not appear. if i go to the Device Manager, they
are listed with a yellow exclamation point. i tried
delete them from the device manager and restarting, i
tried reinstalling the driver, and i tried doing a System
Restore to the day before i installed the MS Anti-Spyware
software, all to no avail. this also happened on my PC
at work. any ideas?
