Hello:
I have a question about the Ports for XP. What Ports I have
to close to become a secure Windows XP. There are many Port
on XP, and I don't know what are their for. Can I get help
on Internet for this issue.

Greetings from Germany.

Additionally, on XP after logging in to any user on our
systems, Explorer opens a server listening at 0.0.0.0 on
port 1024 (notified by ZoneAlarm). This didn't happen on
W2K.

Again, be interested to know whether the ports are
described anywhere. I did find
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;832017 but there are several references to services
wanting to open 1024 and up, and it is referencing Windows
Server generally.
