port 1900, 239.255.255.250, UDP, HELP!

I am running XP Pro, SP2. According to Trend Security 2004, I am sending UDP
on port 1900 from my router address to 239.255.255.250 destination port every
20 seconds multiple times. I have disabled SSDP Discovery System and
Universal Plug and Play. I have also entered Dword with value of 2 in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DirectPlayNATHelp\DPNHUPnP. I have
reset router to factory default, tried blocking both ports in my firewall and
is is still happening about 9 times every 20 seconds.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rog

You say it's _from_ your router's IP address.
So it's your router that's sending it, not your PC.

Sounds like the router is making UPnP advertisements.
You'd need to go into the router's configuration and disable UPnP there.

Tried blocking router, no luck. Tried another router, no luck. Removed
Messenger, removed Internet Gateway Discovery Control Client. Removed .Net,.
It is Dlink DI-604 if that helps but I am at my wits end on this.
Thanks,
Rog
