Hello Shaun,

Do you have XP SP2 installed?

Is this occuring when you are running a web browser or when no web browser
is running?

If SP2 isn't installed and this occurrs when no web browser is running, what
you might be seeing is a result of having Windows' Messenger service running.
This service can allow people from outside your system to "pop-up" dialog
boxes come up on your system advertising products and the like. The
simpliest solution is to install SP2, as Messenger service is disabled by
default.

You can also take these easy steps to rid yourself of these annoying pop-ups:
1. Right-click on the My Computer icon on the desktop
2. Select Manage from the context menu
3. Double-click Services and Applications
4. Double-click Services
5. Double-click Messenger
6. Click Stop to Stop the process
7. Select Disabled from the "Startup type:" list box
8. Click Apply
9. Click OK

An easy way to stop pop ups besides blockers is to set IE to prompt you for
First party cookies and completely
BLOCK THIRD PARTY COOKIES.
For awhhile you'll get prompts asking you about the cººkies.
If it's an unknown site trying to insall I usually choose the block option
and check the box that says to handle ALL cookies from that site in the same
wªy.
POOF you don't have to worry about many spyware and unwanted pop ups
anymºre.
I'd rather pick and chose than to just let IE install everything without
approvªl.
That's how all this got started in the first plªce.

I hope this post is helpful, let us know how it works ºut.
