Poor picture quality while on web

I am using Internet explorer 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2, on
Windows XP and I seem to be having a problem while
viewing pictures on web sites and on ebay. The quality is
very poor. I can see the little digital squares that are
blurred. I view pictures from my computer just fine,
which leads me to believe it's my browser. Any
information.....please help!!!!
